Our 4-Year-Old Program •
Our 4-year-old program is designed to prepare children for Kindergarten Readiness and First Grade by fostering essential skills across various subjects. In Math, children are introduced to concepts like counting, patterns, and puzzles, while Art encourages creativity through painting, drawing, and crafting. Music enriches their social development with singing, dancing, and playing instruments. Spanish words are integrated into daily conversations, laying the groundwork for language appreciation. The Exceeds Curriculum promotes logical thinking, community exploration, and proper etiquette. Children also develop a love for reading and storytelling, and they engage in dramatic play, acting out real-life situations and creating stage plays with puppets and handmade props.
Program
We offer our Four Year Olds their first experience in Kindergarten Readiness and First Grade preparation.
The daily learning routine is the center of the Exceeds Curriculum with active learners building good habits in logical thinking.
The class will explore community and learn responsibilities and proper etiquette.
They will enjoy the world of reading and how to treat books with respect and value.
They will discuss the stories told and share their thoughts with their friends.
In dramatic play they will act out real life situations and create stage plays with puppets and handmade props.
Curriculum
In Math activities the class will be introduced to pattern blocks, coins, counting 0-10, the day of the week, the time of the day, and the monthly calendar. They will measure and sort and solve puzzles.
Art brings experiences to the class in painting, drawing, cutting, pasting, folding, and creating individual art collections. Art inspires you to imagine, to make-belief and to express their feelings visually.
The world is not complete without music in our ears. Singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, marching, listening to each note, all enhance your child’s social development and appreciation of the fine arts.
Spanish speaking words will be integrated into daily conversation. The appreciation of another language and culture will form a sound foundation for further language learning. Learning to write their name and recognize the Alphabet instills pride and a strong sense of accomplishment.
